Park Woodfine Heald Mellows are not on any insurance panels to defend employers against claims brought against them.  So if you receive a letter of claim or Court documents you should send them to your insurer or broker.

However, we do some work for employers when no insurance can be traced.  Asbestosis and deafness cases notoriously do not appear for some time.  Insurers will only become involved if they were at risk at the time of the accident or incident.  Asbestosis claims can take 40 years to materialise and this can leave employers with no means of identifying their insurer and, no evidence to defend the claim. 

As a matter of good practice it is worth keeping a list of all insurance taken out, to include insurer name, policy number, type of insurance and period covered.
