Foreign and Holiday Cases

These can either be holiday cases or cases where there is an accident abroad.

If you have an accident abroad which is part of your package holiday (i.e. in your hotel, on an arranged excursion, on a transfer journey) then you may be able to sue the tour operator in this country.

If you have a road traffic accident and the negligent driver is British, then you may be able to sue the other driver in this country.

If these do not apply to you, then you’ll be suing in the country where the accident occurred.  Park Woodfine Heald Mellows can’t act in such circumstances, but may be able to put you in touch with a local lawyer.

In any event, your travel insurance should have legal expenses insurance to cover your legal fees.
