Most problems can be overcome by having a will professionally prepared, and by this we mean by a solicitor, neither by a Will writer nor an “off the shelf” purchase from a High Street stationer.  Remember, if it all goes wrong, the beneficiaries are unlikely to be able to sue the stationer and most Will writers do not carry professional liability insurance.

It is of course important that you be open and frank about your personal affairs for the solicitor to be able to give you effective advice.

If you have ever decided that you could not afford a Will, most Wills from a solicitor cost less than an hour’s litigation costs.  Most litigation takes 20 to 30 hours as a rough average.  In addition there are Court fees, barrister’s fees, and other expenses.  And then there is the risk of losing.  Plus many disputes involve more than 2 parties.
