Marathon Success!

Karen Tomkins, Rushden office Probate Secretary, took part in the London marathon yesterday to raise funds for the RSPCA. She was delighted to finish in 4 hours 47 minutes and has raised £350.00 for the RSPCA. She was accompanied by her father, who was running to raise funds for Headway – the brain injury association.

Karen started running 11 months ago after the birth of her second son and under the guidance of her father and Wellingborough & District Athletic club. She was new to running and has worked hard to improve her fitness by training all through our cold and snowy winter.

Although a little blistered and sun burnt this morning Karen is already planning her second London marathon!
