Lawyers swap Pens for Paintbrushes - 1st August 2010
On 21st and 22nd July 2010 14 volunteers from Park Woodfine Heald Mellows gave up their time to help Bedfordshire and Luton Mind by painting their newly acquired Information Point at their new premises in Bedford. On two particularly warm July days, our staff painted walls and ceilings to help Mind prepare for the opening of their new centre which promises to be a great asset to the local community.
Janice Scott, the Information Point Coordinator, was absolutely delighted with the finished results and considered the lunch she provided to be a small price to pay for such hard work and enthusiasm.
A thoroughly rewarding event, the volunteers all agreed that the end result was well worth the effort. One of the volunteers said, "It is just so nice to be involved in projects that help our community. I am really pleased to have been given the opportunity to help Bedfordshire and Luton Mind - the Firm are fully supportive of this type of project and spending time away from the office with collegues is a real bonus."
Managing Partner Rae Levene said, "We are really proud of our staff and are always looking for this type of community project to get involved with. We have a strong CSR policy which is fully supported by the management and staff at the firm."
