Disputes (Business)
Businesses will at some point be involved in disputes, ranging from minor day to day matters, to substantial problems that threaten business survival. Commercial Dispute Resolution covers any legal issues that may affect a business including contract disputes, property problems, product liability, debt collection and credit control and owner or partner disputes.
Why is it Dispute Resolution and not Litigation? The aim is to avoid costly litigation (Court Proceedings) wherever possible by resolving a dispute before it gets to the doors of the Court. Of course, this is not always what the parties want and so our team are equally capable of negotiating a resolution to your dispute as they are to dealing with Court Proceedings.
It has been our experience that the sooner we become involved in a potential dispute situation, the faster and less costly the resolution.
The types of dispute we see include:
- Partnership Disputes
- Contracts
- Commercial Confidence/trade secrets
